In the spirit of events like the Global Game Jam and ETHGlobal, NIFTY's goal is to gather the best developers, designers, and entrepreneurs in the space and to build a community of collaboration between the different projects.

We encourage all participants from different disciplines and skill levels to apply, as we strive for a diversity of participants to foster a stronger global community.

Dates & Scheduling
The physical hackathon event will run from: July 25th @ 9am - July 26th @ 1:30pm. Artwork and design can be worked on up to 1 week beforehand (July 18th). We encourage builders to join our Discord channel to ideate and brainstorm! https://discord.gg/mRKWmF6   Accepted hackathon participants will have free access to both the hackathon - which will include product demos and workshops - and the NIFTY conference on the 24th & July 25th - with keynotes and talks.

There will be >$15K in Prizes. As sponsors are updated, prizes will continually be updated.

Event Details The hackathon will provide food and beverage throughout the event, as well as wifi. Hackers will be expected to bring their own laptops and devices for developing.
Code of Conduct By accepting the invitation to the NIFTY Hacks, all participants must agree to our code of conduct found here.

Eligibility

Your team size should not exceed 5 people to a team.

Individuals participating must be over 18 years of age.

Teams should be ready to participate & pitch in English.

Requirements

Submissions are only permitted for teams accepted to NIFTY Hacks.

Submissions will not be accepted after July 26th @ 1pm. 

Please include as much information about your hack as possible when submitting, including screenshots, videos, github / code, description, etc.

Judging Criteria

  • Design
    How aesthetically appealing is the UI / Artwork and how simple is the UX?
  • Engineering
    How complex is the implementation? What technical barriers did the team have to overcome?
  • Creativity
    How novel and new is the hack? Has this been done before?
  • Decentralized
    What level of decentralization did the hack capture? i.e. Use of Blockchain.
  • Game Quality
    What is the level of quality that was put into the design of the game? Or, how much value does this provide the space of gaming?
  • NFT Interoperability
    How does the hack fit into the whole NFT ecosystem, or, another teams project at NIFTY?
